A candidate who took the class 12 test is qualified for registration with the CA Foundation and may only take examinations after passing the class 12 exam. Candidates who choose to pursue a career in accounting after completing their 12th grade must register with the ICAI Board of Studies (BoS) and then complete a 4-month study period before being qualified to sit for the CA Foundation examinations the following session. Before each session, the CA Foundation exam form must be completed to participate. The foundation course registration is suitable for three years.
What does CA Foundation mean?
The CA foundation test is the first step in enrolling in a Chartered Accountancy program. For students majoring in business who want to thrive in accounting, a chartered accountancy course is the fulfillment of their dreams. Before May 1 and November 1, the CA Foundation’s registration period will start. Before the deadline, students must register. If not, they can only appear for the exam the next time.
Students who enroll in the CA Foundation program must pass their high school exams. They must meet that requirement to take the CA Foundation test. Students can sign up for CA Foundation as early as their tenth grade. The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) for Chartered Accountancy Courses was the previous name for CA Foundation.
CA Foundation Registration 2023
The May/June and November/December sessions have an open registration period that is open all year long, according to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Registration for the May 2023 session of the CA Foundation 2023 is open until January 1, 2023.
Through the official website, icai.org, candidates may complete the CA Foundation registration 2023 for the May session. The registration price for the CA Foundation test in May 2023 is Rs. 9800 for students from India and $700 for Americans. Every year, the CA Foundation tests are given in May/June and November/December.
Eligibility criteria – CA Foundation
- Candidates should review the qualifying requirements before registration for the CA Foundation May 2023 session. To be eligible to register with the CA Foundation in May 2023, the following requirements must be satisfied:
- Candidates must have passed or be scheduled to sit for a class 12 test mandated by law or administered by an organization recognized by the Central Government.
- Before January 1, 2023, students must enroll and finish the four-month study session.
- Additionally, they must enroll with the Board of Studies (BoS).
- Students who have passed the 10th grade can now register provisionally through the ICAI. They must thus provide a scanned copy of their admission card in place of the 12th-grade mark sheet.
- Students who have taken examinations but are awaiting their results may also enroll through provisional registration.
Documents required for CA Foundation
- Before registering for CA Foundation 2023, candidates need to have the following papers on hand in the scanned form:
- Authenticated copy of class 12 exam admission card or grade report
- certified evidence of nationality (for foreigners)
- Currently available colored images of the candidate
- For applicants who are SC, ST, or OBC, certified verification of their category is required.
- Class 10 exam admission card or certificate that has been attested and includes the candidate’s name and birth date
- CA Foundation 2023 registration
- Candidates merely need to keep an eye on the test form dates and exam dates to appear for the CA Foundation exam, as registration for CA Foundation 2023 is open all year long. On the official ICAI website, the CA Foundation 2023 application form will be accessible.
What after CA Foundation?
Within a few days of registering for the CA Foundation course, candidates will get study materials from the ICAI.
In addition to registering, students must complete the CA Foundation test form 2023 to take the examinations.
Also available online will be CA Foundation admission cards, which candidates must print out and bring to the testing location.
Candidates who have taken the CA Foundation test will receive their CA Foundation result two months after the exam has ended.
